We would like to introduce ourselves as candidates of the list “ver.di/Offene Liste” for the group of civil servants on the occasion of the new election to the General Staff Council (GPR), from November 18 to December 6, 2024.
For a strong voice of the civil servants in the GPR, we look forward to your support and the associated trust with your vote on “Liste2 ver.di/Open Offene Liste“.
List position 1, Helga Kanda – Department BCP
I am actively committed to fair job prospects and individual career paths. Potential must be promoted and suitable offers such as bachelor’s and master’s degree courses for further qualification must be expanded. Personnel development should be designed as a life-phase model in order to take into account the different skills and needs of civil servants at all stages of their lives. By setting up a mentoring program to support young civil servants, the aim is to make it easier for new colleagues to join the team and promote cohesion. The feeling of appreciation is to be strengthened through regular feedback meetings, recognition programs and team-building measures so that high workloads and time pressure can be identified and prevented at an earlier stage.
List position 2, Christine Eßmann-Stern – Department BCP
With many years of experience and extensive knowledge of administrative structures and processes, my goal is to make these structures even more efficient in the future so that they benefit all employees. At Freie Universität Berlin, I am actively committed to working together in a trusting, responsible and respectful manner. I will use my counseling skills and sensitivity to issues such as discrimination and abuse of power above all to stand up together against bullying, racism, threats and transgressions. In addition to expanding psychological/additional contact points and services, I would particularly like to strengthen social and crisis counseling.
List position 3, Wolfram Lippert – University Library
I pay attention to user-friendliness, consistent data protection and accessibility. Our approach: good hardware and software supports good work! In the Hybrid Teaching network project, we are jointly developing design models for digital teaching, learning and examination scenarios in hybrid settings, with a focus on subject-specific design and international cooperation. You will have the opportunity to take part in hybrid courses that are offered both on site and online. This enables you to organize your further education more flexibly and makes it easier to combine work and further education. The identification of good practices and conditions for success for hybrid teaching formats helps to ensure that continuing education is of high quality and effective for all employees.
